Ebba Hult is an award-winning cinematographer based in London, working across the UK and internationally. In 2021, she graduated from the National Film & Television School (NFTS) with an MA in cinematography.

Ebba’s narrative work has gained recognition at Academy Award®, BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying festivals worldwide. The short drama BLUE NOTE, directed by Pavel Andonov and starring Alma Pöysti, won three golds at Academy Award®-qualifying Tampere Film Festival, and received the ‘Jury’s Special Mention’ at Academy Award®, BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying Leeds International Film Festival, as well as at In the Palace.

THE GOLDEN WEST – directed by Academy Award® and BAFTA-winners Tom Berkeley and Ross White and starring Eileen Walsh and Aoife Duffin – began its festival release with an international premiere at the 50th Telluride Film Festival in Colorado. The film was longlisted for BIFA, and won the Academy Award®-qualifying Jury Prize for ‘Best Short of the Festival’ at Raindance. For her work on the film, Ebba won the prestigious ‘Best Cinematography’ award at the 2023 British Short Film Awards, and was honoured with a nomination for ‘Best Cinematography in a Short Film’ by the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC).

Prior to being a cinematographer, Ebba had a career working in advertising, developing her eye for detail and visual storytelling at some of the world’s leading agencies including Wieden+Kennedy, AKQA, and B-Reel, with work awarded in prestigious shows like Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, Eurobest, and The One Show.

Ebba works across narrative fiction, fashion, beauty, art, documentary, commercials, and promos in both digital and film formats. Her client list includes Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, Dior, H&M, La Mer, LOEWE, On Running, Rose Inc, Tesco Mobile, Tekla, The Face, and Vogue Magazine.
